En 5to N, mañana estaremos utilizando Popplet. Aquellos alumnos que traigan tablets, deberán hacer la descarga en casa para poder trabajar.
Y no se olviden de hacer firmar y completar el "Acuerdo de convivencia en aulas digitales". Caso contrario, no podrán utilizar el dispositivo.

Science and Social Studies
Remedial work
So, answer the following questions:
1. What are the sensory organs? Provide the definition and mention the five sensory organs.
2. What is the iris? And why is it important?
3. What is the epidermis? Explain.
4. Which substance gives colour to our skin?
5. Why is the subcutaneos layer impotant for us?
6. Draw the skin and label its parts.
Many of these questions were part of the term test, so they are very easy! Come on!
Don't forget to hand the answers in on Tuesday, 2nd September.

Term Tests
Temas para los term tests de Science and Social Studies y de Literature
Si bien ya fueron enviados por cuaderno de comunicados, aquí les dejo nuevamente los temas que tenemos que estudiar para las evaluaciones de la semana próxima.
El examen de Science and Social Studies será el martes 26 y para el mismo tenemos que estudiar los siguientes temas:
- La definición de sense y de sensory organs. Además, los sentidos de la vista y el tacto, los cuales se están trabajando en clase. Estudiar la información que se encuentra en el cuadernillo para poder responder preguntas al respecto y reconocer las partes de los órganos que participan en estos sentidos.
La evaluación de Literature, por su parte, será el miércoles 28 y los temas a estudiar son los siguientes:
- Elementos del libro “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” (las partes de sus tapas y del lomo, detalles acerca de la cantidad de capítulos y de páginas), detalles sobre la vida del autor (detalles generales que se pueden leer a partir de los links publicados en el blog con anterioridad) y el capítulo 1 (releerlo como para contestar preguntas). Se tendrán en cuenta también los comentarios que hayan tenido lugar en la clase, así como las interpretaciones que fuimos realizando, para poder contestar preguntas.
A repasar y a sacarse todas las dudas!!!!

Literature Assignment
Some questions about "The Witches"
Here are the questions I would like you to answer during the winter holidays. Remember not to copy the questions. Just write the complete answers, in a tidy way, to hand them in on Wednesday, 6th August. Be careful! Because some questions have two parts! And remember that you can use the book to answer all questions... that's great help!
1- Who was the author of the book? Write what you remember about his life.
2- Who was the illustrator? Which was his relationship with the author?
3- What is strange about grandma's thumb? Do we know what happened to it?
4- What do witches look like? (Write a full description!).
5- How did Ranghild Hansen disappear?
6- Which are the steps you have to follow to prepare the "Formula 86 Delayed Action Mouse-Maker"? (Write them in bullet points, as in a recipe).
8- Draw the dining-room scene, in which witches are turned into mice.
9- Mention three things that grandma did to adapt her house for the boy, who was a mouse.
10- Did you like the story? Why/Why not? (Give a good, complete answer to this question).

Great plans for a new school
We want to be eco-friendly!
As part of our new project, today we gathered in groups to start thinking about alternatives that can make of our future new building an innovative, eco-friendly school.
Next week, we'll present our suggestions and maybe the new school could be built taking some of our alternatives into account. I'm sure it will be a great experience!

A new recipe

The Witches
Reading is great fun!
I love our Literature lessons! Thank you for showing so much interest in the lessons and in the book. I enjoy the reading moments a lot with you. And you are making a great effort to read with passion and energy... and some of you seem to be real witches when you read!
See you on Wednesday kids! Hmmm... have you eaten chocolates today? If I were you I would be very careful tomorrow, at 9 o'clock. Let's cross our fingers so that you are not changed into a mouse! Hahahahaha!
